We Are One in the Spirit

Beautiful song sung at church last Sunday that has been stuck in my head this week. Beautiful lyrics. Uplifting melody too!

We are one in the Spirit.
We are one in the Lord.
We are one in the Spirit.
We are one in the Lord.
And we pray that all unity
May one day be restored,
And they'll know we are Christians
By our love, by our love.
Yes, they'll know we are Christians
By our love.

We will walk with each other.
We will walk hand in hand.
We will walk with each other.
We will walk hand in hand.
And together we'll spread the news
That God is in our land,
And they'll know ...

We will work with each other.
We will work side by side.
We will work with each other.
We will work side by side.
And we'll give up all our dignity,
And crucify our pride,
And they'll know ...

All praise to the Father
From whom all blessings come.
And all praise to Christ Jesus
His only Son.
And all praise to the Spirit
Who makes us one.
And they'll know we are Christians
By our love, by our love.
Yes, they'll know we are Christins
By our love,
By our love,
By our love,
By our Love,
By our --

Love, love, love, love.
Christians this is your call.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
For God loves all.

Jesus, Jesus,
Let me tell You how I feel.
You have given me Your Spirit,
I love You so.

Praise the Father, praise the Son,
Praise the Spirit, three in One.
Praise the Father, praise the Son,
Praise the Spirit, three in One.

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!

Winter Recipes

Cooking is quickly becoming therapeutic. There is a certain satisfaction that comes from preparing a delicious meal, then devouring it and receiving praise for its deliciousness. Philosophers say a lot of things, such as love being the key ingredient to a delicious meal. Perhaps that is true. But I say that a meal both made with and then received with love leads to the ultimate deliciousness.

It is amazing that I can talk so positively about cooking. Prior to getting married it was my biggest fear and nuisance. I hated it, avoided it, and never thought I would do it. My confidence skill was zero. But, thanks to the nurturing love of my husband, this has changed and with exploration and freedom to explore in an nonthreatening environment - it has become in fact therapeutic and something I look forward to everyday.

Here are some of my favorites from this winter - I hope you will find them as enjoyable and in the end delicious as we have:

Spaghetti Squash

Zuppa Tuscana

Curried Chicken Corn Chowder

They are definitely recipes that will be made again!
